Why is UOP migrating to a new website?

The new site promises to be easier to navigate and be more organized. Tools and services will be neatly categorized to make finding things much easier.  Not to mention that they are keeping up with the times. The old website’s overhaul has been a long time coming.

Problem is, a big organization such as University of Phoenix, which has been established for quite some time. It’s difficult to just move things and hope that you don’t break too many things in the process.  Coming from an IT background in the Healthcare industry, I know personally how hard it is to move a complete site.

I commend UOP for taking small chunks and migrating over a period of time.  It will be much cleaner this way.

University of Phoenix has become the leader in continuing education and online degree programs.  What started out as a notion and a small degree program has exploded into the university of choice.  People can earn their degree, while keeping their 9 to 5 job.
